The Top Hunt MAXI Modular is a horizontal reel designed for freediving spearfishing and underwater hunting of large pelagic fish. Equipped with a high-capacity spool, it can handle lines up to 90-100 meters of 2.0 mm diameter, ideal for fighting large fish such as amberjack, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and dogtooth tuna, both in local and ocean waters.
Main Technical Features
- Spool dimensions: 100 mm diameter x 65 mm thickness
- Capacity: 90-100 meters of 2.0 mm line
- Construction: oversized central frame and shaft in AISI 316 stainless steel, ensuring high mechanical strength and durability in marine environments
- Metal parts: CNC-machined and blackened to optimize strength and corrosion protection
- Spool: made from a floating polymer, machined from a solid extruded block, to balance weight and improve the overall lightness of the reel
- Drag knob: in AISI 316, strong and lightweight thanks to cutouts, designed with an ergonomic seat for easy grip and control during retrieval
- Anti-tangle system: equipped with two front and two rear rollers to help the line run smoothly and prevent tangles
- Extendable arm: designed to make line rewinding fast and smooth after the fight
