Top Hunt 80 Modular – Horizontal Reel for Spearfishing

The Top Hunt 80 Modular is a horizontal-geometry reel designed specifically for ambush and aspetto-style spearfishing. Its compact structure (80 x 90 x 60 mm) and low weight make it suitable for mounting on lightweight spearguns, as well as on more common commercial models thanks to the modular mounting system with interchangeable washers.

Technical Features

• Frame and drag knob made from burnished AISI 316 stainless steel, ensuring mechanical strength and durability in the marine environment.
• Spool machined from solid floating plastic material, designed to ensure lightness and make line management easier in the water.
• Equipped with two rear anti-tangle rollers that prevent the line from tangling during retrieval.
• Spool line capacity: approximately 45-50 meters of 1.5 mm line, suitable for spearfishing requirements.

Advanced Drag

The spool drag is very lightweight and adjustable, maintaining the set tension even under line pull. This allows:

• Fast retrievals in situations involving small fish, surge, or murky water.
• Constant drag tension during ascent to maintain contact with the fish without risk of losing it.

The drag can be made self-releasing by removing the metal washer in contact with the spool; this feature is especially useful with larger fish, allowing optimal operation without having to manually loosen the drag.

Compatibility and Modularity

Thanks to the special mounting washers included, the Top Hunt 80 Modular can be adapted to virtually any type of speargun, including the most common models on the market. This system allows the spacing between the mounting screws to be adjusted, ensuring a simple and secure installation.
