The Pathos Sniper Roller Speargun is a next-generation roller speargun designed for freedive spearfishing, featuring an ergonomic and functional design. Intended for experienced freedivers and spearfishers, it offers an optimal balance of stability, maneuverability, and shooting power.
Construction and Materials
The barrel is made from anodized aluminum with a 1.25 mm wall thickness using mild forming technology, ensuring light weight and mechanical strength. The oval barrel section features an integrated shaft guide to maximize stability during tracking and shooting. The elongated, flattened floater provides efficient balance and makes loading the roller system easier thanks to three loading points positioned every 13 cm.
Muzzle and Roller Speargun System
The open roller muzzle is specific to spearguns with an oval-section barrel. It includes a dedicated hole for the circular bands and a front extension that supports the lower flopper of the shaft, eliminating the need for an o-ring. This design allows both circular bands to be loaded at the same time without interference, optimizing thrust power and ensuring smooth, responsive force transmission.
Handle and Release Mechanism
The symmetrical D’Angelo III universal handle is made from glass-filled nylon, with a low-profile shape to ensure comfort and control during long spearfishing sessions. The rear-positioned release mechanism, made entirely of stainless steel, delivers a smooth yet powerful action with an additional 7 cm stroke, ensuring precision and reliability when firing.
Configuration and Accessories
- Double 16.0 mm circular band for increased propulsion force
- 7.0 mm Sandvik steel single-flopper shaft, equipped with shark fins and a tri-cut tip for effective penetration and balanced trim
- Compatible with all Pathos reels for greater practicality in the water
