Sigal Sub Evolution Shaft with Low-Profile Pins in Sandvik Steel

The Evolution Shaft by Sigal Sub is made from high-quality Swedish Sandvik steel, heat-treated to improve its mechanical properties. This combination ensures an extremely strong, rigid, and accurate product, ideal for use on closed- or open-muzzle band spearguns for spearfishing.

Technical Features

• Low-profile pins: they protrude slightly, just over 1 mm from the Shaft profile, providing excellent hydrodynamics. The specific machining in front of the pin ensures a secure setup with both metal and Dyneema wishbones.
• Hand-finished tail section: to avoid sharp edges or cutting points that could compromise safety during use.
• Recessed Floppers: made from raw AISI 316L stainless steel, the Floppers are designed to withstand mechanical stress while maintaining a hydrodynamic profile. The standard configuration features a single lower Flopper, manually modified to prevent it from closing after passing through the fish; an upper position can be requested.
• Available diameters: 6.25 mm, 6.5 mm, 6.75 mm, 7.0 mm.
• Available lengths: from 75 cm up to 170 cm, to suit different spearfishing needs.
• Configurations: single Flopper (lower position, standard) and opposing double Flopper.

Thanks to the stiffness and elastic recovery of Sandvik steel, the Shaft maintains a stable, vibration-free trajectory during the shot, ensuring accuracy in tracking and on impact.

The low-profile pins improve the Shaft’s hydrodynamic smoothness, reducing drag and making it easier to attach wishbones made from different materials.

The recessed Floppers increase mechanical strength without compromising thrust efficiency or penetration in the water—key factors in spearfishing and freediving for properly managing fish retrieval.
