Salvimar Ares Nightmare - Speargun for Freediving and Spearfishing
Salvimar Ares Nightmare is a speargun designed for spearfishing and freediving, featuring a barrel with a polygonal elliptical cross-section. The angles of this cross-section are engineered to create strategic wall thicknesses that increase the overall rigidity of the speargun, ensuring a solid structure during tracking and shooting.
Structure and Materials
Strength is further enhanced by the integrated open-track shaft guide, extending from the handle to the muzzle, allowing smooth and precise shaft guidance. The symmetrical handle is made of nylon reinforced with 30% fiberglass, providing a balance between lightness and mechanical strength. The release mechanism is self-centering and made entirely of stainless steel using MIM technology, ensuring long-lasting reliability and durability.
Muzzle and Shooting System
The innovative muzzle features two separate holes that reduce band friction, thereby increasing power at the moment of the shot. A distinctive technical detail is the step built into the tip, specifically designed to support the shaft flopper without the need for an O-ring, optimizing shaft stability upon release.

- BOLT 7.0 mm shaft with a calibrated length for efficient power transfer
- Double Primeline band supplied, 14 mm diameter, balanced to deliver responsiveness and power
- Nylon aiming segment on the rear of the cassette that improves sightline visibility
- Compatible with all Salvimar reels, for a customizable and practical setup in the water
