Hard Float Oval is a rigid buoy designed by Rob Allen specifically for bluewater hunting, with technical features engineered to ensure strength, buoyancy, and functional practicality. The outer shell is made from high-visibility orange polyethylene, strong and durable, while the interior is filled with an incompressible closed-cell polyurethane (PU) polymer foam.

The internal foam gives the buoy excellent compression resistance, a key factor in ensuring integrity and buoyancy even if it is dragged underwater by a large fish. The Oval version uses an overfill of foam to create an oval shape in the outer shell, improving buoyancy and allowing optimal placement of the international dive flag and the balancing lead weight.
