Horizontal Evo – Pathos Horizontal Reels for Spearfishing

Horizontal Evo is the Pathos horizontal reel line featuring a compact, rugged design, developed specifically for the needs of spearfishing and freediving. The reel body is made from glass fiber-reinforced nylon, ensuring good mechanical strength and light weight. The central axle is reinforced with a stainless steel core, providing strength and long-lasting durability even in saltwater environments.

The reel features a line-retaining cage on the main body and a nylon roller that keeps the line aligned during payout and retrieval, optimizing line management during the dive.

Easy Release safety system

Like all Pathos reels, the Horizontal Evo model is equipped with the Easy Release system, an adjustable drag with a steel spring. This system allows the line to pay out automatically during the descent or when hunting large fish at depth, helping provide a smoother ascent without friction that could compromise safety and the management of the underwater activity.

On the underside of the reel there is a knob to engage and disengage the drag, ensuring practical, immediate control during use.

Compatibility and mounting

The Horizontal Evo reel is fully compatible with all Pathos spearguns. The mounting base is screwed to the speargun barrel, while the reel mounts by sliding onto a rail, ensuring stability and quick installation.

Versions and capacity

• Horizontal Evo 40: capacity of 50 meters of 1.5 mm diameter dyneema
• Horizontal Evo 50: capacity of 60 meters of 1.5 mm diameter dyneema

Both models are available in three colors: Black, Grey, and Brown, allowing an aesthetic choice based on personal preference or the underwater environment.
