The elastic line tensioner Shock Absorber is an essential component for rigging a spearfishing speargun, designed to reduce stress on the monofilament and ensure greater durability and safety during underwater use.

The device can be installed in two configurations:

• between the muzzle and the monofilament on spearguns without a reel;
• between the reel line and the monofilament on spearguns with an integrated reel.

This setup introduces an elastic component that helps the monofilament wraps lay neatly and evenly, improving tension management and load distribution.

The shock-absorbing system increases the monofilament’s wear resistance up to tenfold at the most critical point, reducing replacement frequency and improving safety during the catch. In addition, thanks to this load absorption, the muzzle or reel is also subjected to less mechanical stress, extending its service life.
