The Piercing wishbone is an essential and robust component, the result of advanced construction technology specifically developed for spearfishing. Its bridge is made from raw AISI 316 stainless steel, cold-drawn to ensure high mechanical strength. The spheres are joined using TIG welding, ensuring durability and reliability in the water.

Technical features and benefits

This wishbone is designed to be extremely short and rigid, allowing the correct spacing between the bands and a clean, precise sight line. Unlike Dyneema wishbones, which are soft and cause the bands to overlap, making aiming references more difficult, the Piercing keeps the bands separated, improving shot accuracy.

The wishbone is compatible with both notched shafts and shafts with pins, without causing significant wear, ensuring longer equipment life.

Ballistic efficiency and friction reduction

• The spheres have a reduced diameter of 5 mm, significantly smaller than standard 8 mm or larger spheres.
• This design limits band bulging near the tying point.
• Reduced band deformation lowers friction during the shot.
• The low weight of the wishbone helps improve ballistic performance, optimizing accuracy and smooth shaft release.

Dimensions and compatibility

The Piercing wishbone is available in three sizes (L1, L2, L3) to properly fit different band diameters, ensuring easy loading:

• Piercing L3: width 30 mm, length 32 mm, recommended for 14, 16, and 18 mm bands.

The L1 version, which is extremely short, is intended for experienced users and can also be used with large-diameter bands. It has been tested with tensile loads up to 90 kg, showing minimal deformation.

Comfort in use and quiet operation

The almost negligible weight of the Piercing wishbone is comparable to that of Dyneema wishbones, making buoyancy management in the water easier without weighing down the shaft.

Thanks to the design of the band cones, the tying leaves only a minimal portion of raw wire exposed, greatly reducing noise during the shot and ensuring quieter performance while spearfishing.
