Shaft Ocean - Hunt Technology

The Ocean Shaft Hunt Technology is a top-of-the-line shaft for band spearguns and roller spearguns, made from 17-4 PH stainless steel, ground and certified by the steel mill. Computer numerical control (CNC) machining ensures straightness, precision, and excellent finishes, making it one of the most reliable and high-performance shafts on the spearfishing market.

Material and machining

Built from ground, certified, straight, and smooth 17-4 PH steel bars. CNC machining ensures minimal tolerances, maximum rigidity, and perfectly smooth surfaces for optimal hydrodynamic penetration. The material provides corrosion resistance, long-term durability, and consistent ballistic performance.

Shark-fin tabs and flopper system

The 4 finely offset shark-fin tabs are strategically positioned along the shaft — at 60 / 90 / 120 / 360 mm from the rear — for optimal in-flight stability and easy line routing. Their layout resembles the fins of a shark, directly contributing to ballistic performance. The floppers are recessed and partially disappear into the shaft profile, ensuring superior hydrodynamics.

• The floppers are welded directly onto the shaft to prevent deformation during use and ensure perfect penetration into the fish
• The single flopper features an innovative mounting system with a welded pin, positioned by default on the underside
• Available in Single Flopper (underside) and Double Flopper (opposing) configurations

Hole and line bridge configuration by diameter

The hole and line bridge configuration varies according to the shaft diameter, optimizing each size for its specific use:

6.25 and 6.50 mm diameter Shafts

• Rear hole (practical for hole shots)
• Hole on the preload shark-fin tab at 360 mm from the rear (convenient for ambush hunting and for roller spearguns)
• No line bridge

6.75 / 7.00 / 7.25 / 7.50 / 8.00 mm diameter Shafts

• Rear hole (convenient for hole shots)
• Line bridge at 375 mm from the rear, made from raw AISI 316 stainless steel
• Line passage height of 2.1 mm (length 8.00 mm): allows the use of large-diameter shooting lines or monofilament

Optional accessory: penetration cone

Available as an optional accessory, the CNC-machined brass penetration cone provides an optimal hydrodynamic profile, maximizing shaft performance during use.
