Garmin GT51M-TH is a thru-hull transducer designed for high-definition underwater imaging, ideal for use with traditional fishfinders and advanced CHIRP technologies.
Technical Features and Functions
The transducer integrates three distinct CHIRP technologies:
- Traditional CHIRP: operating at 80-160 kHz frequencies with 600 W of power, it enables precise detection of fish and bottom structure down to 549 meters in freshwater.
- CHIRP DownVü: operates at 260 kHz (245-275 kHz) with 500 W of power, providing high-definition vertical images down to 305 meters.
- CHIRP SideVü: operates at 455 kHz (445-465 kHz) with 500 W of power, delivering sharp side-imaging views down to 229 meters for a detailed picture of the underwater environment.
Installation and Construction Specifications
The GT51M-TH model is suitable for hulls with a deadrise angle of less than 25 degrees, ensuring optimal installation for efficient transmission and accurate detection. The transducer is equipped with a stainless steel stem, fairing block, isolation plate, and bushings to ensure mechanical stability and long-term protection.
