The Colibrì Reel by Ermes is a handcrafted low-capacity vertical reel, designed specifically for spearfishing with band-powered spearguns in shallow and mid-depth water. Despite its compact size, every construction detail delivers maximum strength and precision: the bracket and handle are laser-cut from 2 mm stainless steel, while all components are CNC-machined from solid stock with hundredth-of-a-millimeter precision.
Premium handcrafted construction
The Colibrì structure is made entirely from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring maximum corrosion resistance in marine environments. The 46 mm diameter Derlin spool, CNC-machined, ensures strength and smooth line payout. Two construction elements complete the technical design:
- High-position front stainless steel roller: helps the line run smoothly while keeping it as close as possible to the barrel, preventing it from snagging on the bottom
- Anti-tangle cylinder: positioned almost diametrically opposite the roller, it prevents line tangles and further increases the overall rigidity of the assembly
Ball Drag and foldaway handle
The braking system is engineered down to the smallest detail: the click Drag with micrometric adjustment is controlled by a ball on the knob and can be operated with one hand, leaving the other free for retrieval. The retractable foldaway handle with ball locking system folds completely onto the reel body, minimizing bulk during spearfishing action.
