Technique Description

This advanced freedive spearfishing practice is defined by complete immersion in the blue, with no reference to land above or below the surface. It requires targeted physical preparation, steady mental balance, rigorous execution, and considerable patience—essential elements for sustaining extended dives in dynamic hunting conditions for large pelagic fish.

Riccardo A. Andreoli has extensive experience in ocean freedive spearfishing, having been one of the pioneers in this field. His achievements include the world record for the capture of an Atlantic sailfish, the first awarded to an Italian freediver.
