BlueWater FloatLine for Freediving and Spearfishing

The BlueWater FloatLine is an essential component designed specifically for bluewater hunting. Made in our workshop, it serves as a reliable connection between speargun, bungee, and floats, ensuring optimal gear management during underwater activity.

Construction and Materials

This floatline consists of a plastic tube with a diameter of 9.0 mm, designed to reduce the formation of knots and tangles that can compromise safety and smooth handling when retrieving large fish. The internal core is made of 100% dyneema, with a breaking load of 880 kg, ensuring high mechanical strength and reliable performance under tension.

Stretch and Safety

The BlueWater FloatLine has a 30% stretch under tension, allowing it to effectively absorb the force exerted by large fish without risk of breakage. For example, a 15-meter line stretches up to approximately 20 meters, while a 30-meter line reaches 40 meters, dynamically adapting to the fish’s action while maintaining safety thanks to the control provided by the dyneema core.

Accessories and Compatibility

Each end of the floatline is equipped with heavy-duty stainless steel swivels, designed to eliminate unwanted twisting, connected to AISI 316 stainless steel shackles. This universal system allows quick and secure attachment and release of clips, floats, bungees, and other floatlines, making gear management easier in the water and on board.

Handling and Ease of Use

Compared to standard polyethylene floatlines, the BlueWater FloatLine is designed for better handling in the water and on board, helping prevent hand cuts during handling and making neat stowage easier—essential for spearfishers and freedivers targeting serious fish or during extended sessions.

Recommended Applications

Suitable for freediving and open-water spearfishing, and especially recommended for situations where a reel is not used, the BlueWater FloatLine supports the spearfisher in line management during fights with large fish and on deep-water dives.
