ProWide Cam non è una maschera esistente a cui è stato semplicemente aggiunto un supporto. La sua compattezza e la sua rigidità strutturale hanno permesso a C4 di progettare una struttura in grado di gestire il peso aggiuntivo e le sollecitazioni generate dalla telecamera. Così la maschera mantiene stabilità, comfort e il corretto posizionamento sul viso.

È un approccio importante: molte maschere con attacco camera presenti sul mercato non sono state sviluppate tenendo conto del peso di una action camera subacquea. Lenti antifog con trattamento al plasma

Frame rigido contro l'effetto tunnel

Quando la maschera viene stretta sul viso e subisce la pressione idrostatica, un frame poco rigido può deformarsi. Questa deformazione cambia la geometria della maschera e può generare il cosiddetto "effetto tunnel", che riduce il campo visivo e altera la percezione reale di ciò che si vede sott'acqua.
