Reels for spearguns

Meandros Fire Plus Reel for Spearfishing

The Meandros Fire Plus is a vertical reel made with selected materials to ensure light weight, mechanical strength, and functionality suited to spearfishing and freediving. The construction combines a plastic shaft with a 316L stainless steel frame, ensuring durability and robustness in the marine environment.

Technical features and materials

• Spool with diamond-shaped openings that lighten the structure and promote drying of the line, preventing deterioration caused by moisture.
• Frame riveted to the spool with 3-axis spacers, positioned around the spool to prevent line tangles during use.
• Extendable arm that makes line retrieval easier, improving practicality in the water.
• Proven line attachment system: the line is inserted through an angled hole on the spool axle and secured with a stopper knot in the knob-drag system, preventing accidental loss and maximizing the capacity of the spool without internal knots.

Mounting and compatibility

The reel is designed for simple, secure screw mounting, compatible with most wooden spearguns, plastic or stainless steel trigger guards, and plastic handles on many commercial models.

Available variants

Available in 4 different sizes: 2L, 3, 4, and 5, allowing a targeted choice based on spearfishing needs and the type of line used.

Meandros Fire Plus: Vertical Reel for Freediving and Spearfishing

The Meandros Fire Plus Reel is designed for use in freediving and spearfishing, offering high strength combined with a compact, lightweight design. Its construction integrates a 316L stainless steel frame and a plastic shaft, ensuring excellent mechanical strength and durability in marine environments.

Technical Features

• Spool with diamond perforations: reduces overall weight and promotes fast drying of the line, helping prevent deterioration and line rot.
• Frame-spool support riveted with 3-axis spacers: positioned around the spool to prevent line tangles, ensuring smooth transmission with no knots.
• Extendable arm: optimizes line retrieval, improving practicality while freediving and line management during spearfishing.
• Line attachment system through an angled hole on the spool axle and a hole in the drag knob, allowing the line to be securely locked with a stopper knot, eliminating knots inside the spool and increasing the usable capacity of the reel.
• Universal mounting with screws on wooden speargun stocks, plastic or stainless steel trigger guards, and plastic handles of various commercial models, ensuring versatile use.
• Available in 4 sizes: 2L, 3, 4, and 5, to suit different line requirements and types of spearguns.

Materials and Design

The combination of 316L stainless steel for the frame and engineering plastic for the shaft ensures a product resistant to saltwater corrosion without compromising lightness. The spool design and line attachment system reflect a specific focus on weight optimization and ease of use during freediving.

Applications

The Meandros Fire Plus is suitable for freedivers and spearfishers who need a reliable reel that is easy to mount on most spearguns and capable of ensuring efficient line management underwater, with particular attention to long-term practicality and durability.

Falco 77 - Vertical Reel for Spearfishing

The Falco 77 is a reel designed specifically for the demands of spearfishing, featuring an optimized vertical layout for smooth, precise line management while swinging the speargun. The structure is built with an AISI 316 stainless steel frame, ensuring strength and corrosion resistance in the marine environment.

The spool is machined from solid stock, ensuring tight dimensional tolerances and excellent mechanical performance during retrieval. At the front, two small rollers are positioned to keep the line close to the barrel, preventing snags that could hinder speargun handling. The roller in contact with the line is free to rotate, drastically reducing friction and improving line payout smoothness.

The retrieval handle is adjustable and equipped with a self-locking click drag, an essential feature for maintaining constant tension on the line during dives and enabling precise control of the line in the water.

Main technical features

• Capacity: 100 meters of 1.5 mm line
• Spool diameter: 77 mm
• Frame material: AISI 316 stainless steel
• Spool finish: machined from solid stock
• Handle: adjustable with self-locking click drag
• Roller system: reduces friction and prevents line snags
• Available colors: Black, White, Blue, Red

The Falco 77 is ideal for free-swimming hunting and ambush hunting techniques, thanks to its medium/high capacity and robust construction, which ensure reliability and long service life even with frequent dives. The choice of materials and careful design deliver lightness, mechanical strength, and efficient line management—key factors for optimizing the underwater freediving experience.

Albatros 80 – Horizontal Reel for Freediving and Spearfishing

Albatros 80 is a horizontal reel designed specifically for use with band-powered and pneumatic spearguns in spearfishing and freediving.

Technical Features

• Body made from solid-turned POM-C, ensuring light weight and mechanical strength.
• Components in AISI 316 stainless steel, such as the handle and center shaft, to optimize durability in marine environments.
• Equipped with a single front mini cylindrical stainless steel roller that keeps the line close to the barrel, preventing snags during tracking.
• The roller rotates freely in contact with the line, significantly reducing friction for smoother line management.
• The handle is removable and features a self-locking click drag, allowing precise and secure line retrieval during the catch.

Usage Specifications

• Spool capacity: 50 meters of 1.5 mm line, sufficient for typical spearfishing descents and retrievals.
• Spool diameter: 80 mm, ensuring optimal line management without overload.
