The advent of flashers has completely changed Fishing in the Blue. Human visual capabilities are limited in the water, and many pelagics outrun the spearfisherman without being seen.
A well-designed flasher will stimulate the predator to change course and investigate the source of the vibrations and bright flashes. This results in increased sightings and more shooting opportunities.
Flashers
should be placed within the diver's visibility and shallow enough to allow the fish to approach before it loses interest, usually between 6 and 12 meters depth.
